Whenever we see cockroaches in our surroundings, we immediately feel disgusted and blame them for the dirt and unhealthy environment. But if we think honestly, are cockroaches really the main problem? Or are they just surviving in the mess humans created?
Cockroaches grow in dirty places, overflowing garbage, blocked drains, and poorly managed sewage systems. They survive where cleanliness is ignored. In many areas, garbage is thrown carelessly on roads, plastic waste is left everywhere, and drainage systems are not cleaned properly. In such conditions, pests naturally increase. So instead of only blaming the cockroaches, we should also question the system and habits that allow these problems to continue.
The term “Cockroach Janta Party” can also be understood as a symbol of corruption, irresponsibility, and people who take advantage of a broken system. Sometimes society becomes so used to problems that nobody seriously tries to fix them anymore. Everyone complains, but very few take responsibility.
At the same time, citizens are also part of the problem. We often expect change from the government while ignoring our own actions. Keeping surroundings clean, following basic civic sense, and speaking up against negligence are responsibilities of every person, not just authorities.
A better society cannot be created only through speeches or campaigns. Real change starts when both the system and the people become more responsible. If we truly want to get rid of the “cockroaches,” we first need to clean the environment and mindset that allow them to survive.
